Ballet Program

Although we are not a full ballet academy, we do have a small program which allows students to progress through the levels of ballet and for students who wish to work towards going en pointe.

Ballet is unique from other forms of dance and requires proper progression and development. Your child will be assessed to determine when it's appropriate to advance to the next level class and when to progress to pointe. It's crucial not to rush this process as everyone grows and develops their strength at different times. When the opportunity for pointe shoes comes, students should be fitted by a professional to make certain they have a proper fit and to avoid injury. (Most students get their shoes fitted at Lines Vermont in So. Burlington).

Students Level II and up in the ballet program must start attending 2 classes a week. Students Level III and up must take a minimum of 3 classes a week.

Students on our competition teams are required to take a ballet class.

Many of our students audition and attend summer intensives at professional schools.
